දෙවියන් ද නො තකා සිප ගත්ත මිනිසුන්
කොයිතරම් උණුසුම් ද ඒ සුසුම් සුසුමන්
වස විසක් සේ පැමිණ පැතිර ගිය සාතන් ආමේන් කියද්දිත් ලෙඩ කළා මිතුරන්

අබ මිටක් සොයා ගෙන දැන් ඉතිං සෑහෙයි ද ?

අමතක ව ගිය නමුදු අප විසින් සොයා ගත්
එන්නතක් ඇත නුදුරු අඳුරු වන ගුල්මයක
නිමා වන තුරු නො සිට වියරු ව්‍යවසන මැදින්
වහ වහා යා යුතුය එය රැගෙන එනු පිණිස

අවසාන මිනිසාට බෙහෙත් ඖෂධ කුමට ?

බොහෝ දෙන මදක් ගොස් හැරී ගිය මගකින්
ගිය මිසක යළි නාව අඩි ලකුණු අතරින්
එතන ඇති ඒ මහරු නිධානය සොයමින් ඇවිද යා යුතුව ඇත පිපෙන මල් වෙනුවෙන්

පරවෙච්ච මල් මතින් එන පැතුම
ඇසුණා ද ?

එක ම තැනකින් නැඟී පැතිර යන සේ අඳුර
පළමු කිරණක නැඟී පැමිණි අණුවකි එළිය
මුල් ම දෙතොලෙහි ගැටී විනිවිඳින දින ඔසුව
වාහකය වී හමමු ගෙයින් ගෙට දොරින් දොර

හාදුවෙන් පැතිරෙන්නෙ විසබීජ
විතරයි ද ?
